But if you never book travel through the Capital One portal, the $300 credit is harder to use. In that case, the effective annual fee is $395, and you’re paying for lounge access that you can only use 1-2 times a month. That’s $33-$66 per visit—fair only if you value food and drinks at $30+.

Food quality is the standout feature. Capital One uses local chef partnerships that rotate menus monthly. At DFW, expect Texas brisket tacos; at DEN, Rocky Mountain trout salad. We rate it 8.5/10—better than most Centurion Lounges (7/10) but behind Chase Sapphire Lounges (9/10) for sheer variety.
